Garlic Bread

Cheesy Garlickey delicious garlic Bread !!




Ingredients :

All purpose flour ( Maida ) : 1 1/2 cups
Whole Wheat flour : 1 1/2 cups
Dry yeast : 2  tsp
Sugar : 2 tsp
Salt : 3/4 tsp
Olive oil : 4 tsp
Warm water : 1 1/4 cup
Minced garlic : 4 tsp
Mixed herbs : 2-3 tsp
Finely chopped coriander : 1/4 th cup
Grated cheese : 1/2 cup
Butter : 4 tsp

Preparation of garlic butter:
Mix butter, mixed herbs, minced garlic & chopped coriander in a bowl. Mix well.

Recipe :
1. Take yeast & sugar in bowl.
2. Add warm water in yeast & sugar mixture.
3. Keep aside for 5 minutes.
4. You will observe bubbles & mixture will be fluffy.
5. Add salt, olive oil, flour & maida . Mix to make a nice dough.
6. Transfer the dough on clean greased platform. Knead the dough about 10 min. till it becomes elastic.Use olive oil as required. 4 tsp will be good enough.  
7. Prepare a soft dough  & keep in a big bowl .Cover the bowl  . Let it rest for 1 hour.
8. After 1 hour the dough will be double of original size.
9.  Punch the dough & again knead for about 2-3 minutes.
10. Make  3 parts of the dough. Roll one part in round shape like chapati.
11. Apply garlic butter. Sprinkle grated cheese generously.
12. Start to fold chapati & prepare tight roll. Sprinkle some coriander & cheese again.
13. Cut in to 8-10 parts or as you like. arrange in baking pan like a flower.
14. In the same way prepare 2 more designs as you like.
14. Bake the loaf in preheated oven at 180 C for 25 to 30  minutes or till it turns brown.
15. Apply again  butter on the top of the bread when it is hot.
   Enjoy hot home made cheesy garlicky super soft garlic bread  !!

Eggless Ragi Chocolate Brownie

Ingredients :

Ragi flour : 1 1/2 cup
All purpose flour ( maida )  :  1/2 cup
Grated dark Chocolate or chips : 3/4 cup  ( Used Amul dark chocolate )
Chopped Walnuts : 3/4 cup
Black raisins : 1/2 cup
Castor Sugar or powdered sugar  : 1 cup
Warm milk : 1/2 cup
Yogurt : 1/4 cup
Hot water : 2 tsp
Butter : 1/2 cup
Vegetable oil : 1/2 cup
Baking powder : 1 tsp
Baking soda : 1/2 tsp
White vinegar : 1 tsp
Vanilla essence : 1 tsp

Recipe :
1. Add chocolate & butter in a big bowl.
2. Turn on the gas & melt the chocolate with double boiler method.
3. When all the chocolate melts turn off the gas. Add vegetable oil & yogurt.
4. Add sugar & vanilla essence in above mixture & mix well. Add chopped walnuts & raisins.
5. Sieve Ragi flour, maida, baking soda & baking powder in the above mixture.
6. Incorporate maida with chocolate properly. The mixture becomes thick.
7. Add milk & mix well. Consistency will be pouring & silky.  Add vinegar & mix gently.
8. Pour the batter in greased mould.
6. Bake the cake preheated oven at 180 C for 25 minutes.

Cut  in small pieces & enjoy this chocolaty moist delicious brownie !!









Veg Biryani

Ingredients :
Basmati rice : 1  cup
Water : 2 cups
Chopped onion : 1/2 cup
Vegetable Oil : 3 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar : 1/2 tsp
Yogurt : 1/2 cup
Mint leaves : 1/4 cup
Chopped Coriander : 1/2  cup
Lemon juice : 2 tsp
Prepare smooth paste of coriander & mint leaves. Add lemon juice.
Garlic cloves : 7-8
Ginger paste : 1/2 tsp
Green chilli paste : 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds : 1/2 tsp
Cloves : 4 number
Cinnamon : 2 inch stick
Mace : 1 number
Saffron threads : 7-8
Milk : 1/4 cup
Soak the saffron threads in hot milk for 10 minutes.
Desi ghee : 3 tsp
Chopped Vegetables:
Carrot : 1/4 cup
French beans : 1/4 cup
Calli flower : 1/4 cup
Broccoli : 1/4 cup
Red, green yellow pepper : 1/4 cup ( chopped in dices )
Green peas : 1/2 cup


Recipe :
1. Add water in a pan & bring it to boil. Add 1/2 tsp salt or as per taste. Add rice in the boiling water. When it is cooked 70 % turn off the gas.
2. In another pan add oil. When it becomes hot add onion & saute for some time.  
3.Grind all dry masalas & garlic together. Add in the onion pan.
4.Add mint & coriander paste with lemon juice.
5. Add green beans & carrot. Add all other veggies one by one except green peas.
6. Add salt as per taste, add sugar. Mix properly. Add green peas. Add yogurt. Mix well.
7. Turn off the gas. I cooked my biryani in my Treo pan.
8. In another pan add 1 tsp ghee. Add one layer of veggies, then one layer of rice. Add 1 tsp ghee on rice layer.
9. Likewise I made 2 more layers of veggies & rice. On the uppermost layer of rice add remaining ghee & sprinkle saffron milk mixture.
10. Add some coloured pepper dices, mint leaves & chopped coriander.
11. Cook the biryani till fully done. Do not overcook.
Garnish with cashews & serve hot with raita.
I love lots of veggies in my biryani. You can add veggies of your choice.
